Chembu Puzhukku
Hi Friends,
Welcome to Food Festival.

Today i am sharing the recipe of Colocasia. Kerala Karkidakam special Chembu Puzhukku. Today starting an auspicious Ramayana month/ Karkidaka month which occur heavy rainfall, illness etc. So we need to be very strong to overcome this situation by preparing our body to stay young and healthy by taking early oil bath, consuming proper protein diet food and reading Ramayanam to increase our self confidence in this particular period.



Recipe of Chembu Puzhukku


Ingredients:


Chembu/ Colocasia - 300 gm

Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Chilli Powder - 1/4 tsp
Curry leaf - few
Green chilli - 2 or 3
Shallot - 1 small
Cumin seed - 1/4 to 1/2 tsp
Coconut - 3/4 cup
Coconut oil 1.5 tsp
Salt - required
Water

Method:


Clean and wash Chembu/ Colocasia.




Cook Chembu, turmeric powder, chilli powder, green chilly, few curry leaves, salt and some water.




Grind Coconut, green chilli, Cumin seed, shallot and curry leaves( not to paste).




Add the grinder coconut paste into the cooked chembu.





Lastly add some curry leaves and coconut oil.


Healthy, yummy Chembu puzhukku is ready for you.
