Chembu Puzhukku Hi Friends, Welcome to Food Festival. T oday i am sharing the recipe of Colocasia. Kerala Karkidakam special Chembu Puzhukku. Today starting an auspicious Ramayana month/ Karkidaka month which occur heavy rainfall, illness etc. So we need to be very strong to overcome this situation by preparing our body to stay young and healthy by taking early oil bath, consuming proper protein diet food and reading Ramayanam to increase our self confidence in this particular period. Recipe of Chembu Puzhukku Ingredients: Chembu/ Colocasia - 300 gm Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp Chilli Powder - 1/4 tsp Curry leaf - few Green chilli - 2 or 3 Shallot - 1 small Cumin seed - 1/4 to 1/2 tsp Coconut - 3/4 cup Coconut oil 1.5 tsp Salt - required Water Method: Clean and wash Chembu/ Colocasia. PalKanji Hi Friends, Welcome to Food Festival. Today i am sharing the recipe of the very famous Paal Kanji/ Coconut  Milk Porridge.This Paal Kanji is one of my favourite nostalgic food. Whenever i hear Paal kanji i always remember my grand mother, she' s no more now but still i remember her when she gave me wonderful memories about traditional food items. I think she had  magical cooking spirit. I used to watch my grand mother and mother cooking, just looking not helping hahaha. Recipe for Paal Kanji: This is a very easy Paal kanji recipe. Matta rice  - 1 cup Coconut Salt Water - 5 or 6 cup Method: Wash the Matter rice. Into the pressure cooker add washed matte rice 1 cup  and 6 cups of water. Hi Friends, Welcome to Food Festival. Today i am sharing the recipe of very popular Kinnathappam recipe. Kinnathappam is a very popular healthy snack widely used in Kerala.Here i am introducing steamed rice jaggery cake which is very healthy and delicious.   Recipe of Kinnathappam. Ingredients: Raw Rice - 1 cup Coconut milk - 1.5 cup Jaggery - 2 nos Cumin seed - 1/2 tsp Salt - pinch Method: Soak the raw rice in water for at least 3 hours. Grind the soaked and drained rice, jaggery and coconut milk into a fine smooth paste. Now grease a steel plate and pour 2  or 3 big spoon batter. Add few cumin seed on top of the batter. Now batter is ready for steaming. Take a cooking pot or idli pot and filled with some water, place a ring inside the pot. Hi Friends, Welcome to Food Festival. Today i am sharing the recipe of  Idiyappam - How to make soft Idiyappam. Idiyappam/ Noolappam/ Noolputtu is a very popular steamed south Indian break fast dish. It is also known as Kerala rice noodles, which is very healthy. Idiyappam can be served with curry or coconut milk. Recipe of Idiyappam/ Noolappam/ Noolputtu. Ingredients: Rice flour Hot Water Salt Method: Firstly mix roasted rice flour and salt. Add boiling water gradually into the rice flour mix. Knead the dough using a spatula.  Cover the pan with a lid. After few minutes, open the lid thee dough should be hot using your hands(be careful the dough is hot) knead the dough until you get a soft dough.
